The shots just seem a little flat.

I might see if I can bump up the saturation a bit when I take the time to really do a decent processing on them. There isn't a whole lot of color to work with, though. It looked much better when I drove by this morning when the sky was clear. But, by the time I went back in the late afternoon the rain clouds had rolled back in and drained the color and contrast out of everything...

Paula, thanks for the explanation about your mom... I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope that assisted living works well for her.

Lonnie, I love Joshua trees. Nice shots. :D

Mike, where's the gin? Huh? HUH?!

Me too! They're my favorite kind of non-tree.

Awwww....Jen gets to play doct...uh, gets to take care of someone special. :D

Hope kiddo gets to feelin' better. Any idea what it is? Cold, flu, stomach bug?

LOL I re-wrapped his splint today ;) So yea... I played doctor hehehehehe No really though He goes back to the doctor Tuesday... this will be the check to see if he'll need surgery....

Alex got sent home from school Friday as I was heading out of town... He didn't feel good... he started throwing up Friday night (my parents are SERIOUSLY awesome!) and had fevers that were controlable by ibuprofin and a tylenol piggy back.... Not sure what it is... Talked to the nurse at the peditrician's office and she wondered if it was the viral fever illness going around... He's been soooooo congested.... I'm not sure what it is... So I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I take him to the walk in clinic at the ped's office...

Sounds like what Aidan had, it is the strain of the flu going around here.

He's not throwing up tons but he's not well for sure.... :(

(((Lisa and Dan))) Come sit down for a drink

Jenn I am glad you had a great weekend:)

I am making a little pasta and may have a couple shots of Bourbon. I will be in and out but am here and keeping up.

Thanks Zane, I'm glad I had a great weekend too!

Jenn!!! Glad you had a wonderful weekend, you sooooo deserve it!:D

Lisa, sorry about your friend. I don't even have words to say how badly I feel for him and all those close to him.:(

She doesn't have Alzheimers. She has suffered from severe severe depression for at least 15 yrs (or more). We have taken her to many doctors...tried many medications etc...over the years and nothing seems to help her. Finally moved her in with my Aunt, who is a nurse and runs a home for mostly eldery folks. She seemed to start getting better recently, so moved her back home. That lasted about two days and she really took a down turn. Seems she can't handle being alone (read "total panic"). So, moved her back with my aunt. Now we are considering moving her to an assisted living. Her depression has somehow triggered alot of other phobias etc... and we are just at our wits end in how to help her anymore.:( There is ALOT more to this story, but this is a very brief explanation.

Paula!!!!!!!!!! Thanks! I did have a great time!!!!

Wow sorry to hear that your mom isn't doing so well... :(

Jenn, gone back to novice photographer...

Pretty cool, Mike.

Paula that's pretty rough regarding your mother. Thank you for letting us know. Hope the transition goes well for all.

Don't you hate when that happens? See a scene and try to take a shot and it don't come out the same.

Forgot to say, I now am doing the C in R.I.C.E. ;) And decided to take some pain meds, not because I'm in much pain but for the anti-inflammatory factor. :)

Got to run, we're meeting our nieces for lunch at (something, something) Buffalo Wings. :)

Sorry for no MMQ...I'll confess....I scanned for pics.

Zane: I hope your sister is well after her surgery. Lovely silhouette shot.

Becky: I hope your ankle feels better.

Permie: Lovely bird and tractor shots.

Crissa: Lovely wedding shots.

Terri: Love those neat perspective shots.

Paula: Best wishes for your mom.

Jenn: Glad you had some fun this weekend. Sorry your little dude has the ills. I hope it doesn't get anywhere near as bad as what Aidan had.

G'ame folks. Kids are in bed. It's been a long day here. Both boys had the crabbies all day. Aidan because he's still not up to snuff and Ian popped another tooth. I'm finally feeling well enough NOT to go to bed with the kids.

Are you saying that Tom Cruise would be part of a historically inaccurate movie?

Joshua Trees!!!! Been several years since I've seen the IRL.

We have them all over the place around here, but there is a very conspicuous lack of them in the field where I walk Minnie. I think that particular area was cleared and developed a few decades ago then later torn down and abandoned. There are some remnants of building foundations.
