The ex-husband of the woman who owns the sanctuary was bitten by one of the Capuchin monkeys there and the resulting infection put him in the hospital. YEEPS! That's not good.... monkeygirl wrote in post #7435636 Monkey kisses is more like lip smacking *giggles* I hope to see it in person some day! Blog

Too many thoughts twirling through my wee brain. monkeygirl wrote in post #7435435 Here is a slightly different view of Russell and I. Awwww.....so cute. monkeygirl wrote in post #7435478 Diane, He is a Spider Monkey from South America. Russell was confiscated by Animal Control (primates are illegal in Ca in private homes) when his owner was arrested under an outstanding warrant. The Sanctuary is licensed with Animal Control as a holding facility when primates are involved in a case and when the owner went to pick him up, she noticed a baby bottle in the bottom of his cage and opened it - the bottle contained milk with alcohol mixed in (we assume to keep him quiet, as young monkeys can be rather noisy). When the case was settled in court, the sanctuary was awarded custody of Russell. Since he was under a year old, I and some of the other volunteers were allowed to go in his cage and play with him. When I would go in, all he wanted to do was cuddle as you can see. The only problem was what I would look like when I came out, as he was not wearing a diaper. Grrrrrr...I just hate hearing of stories like this. I am glad he was taken in and cared for by good people. -JIM-

More info | Permagrin wrote in post #7432734 it all started when I was trying to figure out what size my manual focus lenses were (because I need filters)...then I thought...hey I'll line them up and macro them...then Dan put two bigger lenses on the tabe for intimidation purposes...then I brought out my big guns then he brought out his and then I brought out my cameras and then he brought out his and then I brought out my flashes and then he brought out his lensbaby...and the battle ensued. The lensbaby was the first to go down.
Should we swap locations? 3Turner wrote in post #7433733 Wow....very nice. Where is that at? It's on the Zugerberg, the local "mountain" (just 30min from home by public transportation) DDA - C&C welcomed and encouraged

One of the things that makes Paris a very different city from London is it's wide boulevards and avenues. Interestingly the reason that they were planned that way was to allow the army free movement around the city so they could get at the populous as they were always revolting Neil - © NHR Photography
