He uses a noink! Boo....hiss...hehehe

Really? Then I withdraw my comment about his shots being great. They are just crappy, noisy snapshots :p

My FIL uses a Noink. It's a decent camera and system (but I decided to go Canon ... and am glad I did)

Here is a slightly different view of Russell and I.

Awww.....

monkeygirl wrote in post #7435478 (external link)
Diane, He is a Spider Monkey from South America. Russell was confiscated by Animal Control (primates are illegal in Ca in private homes) when his owner was arrested under an outstanding warrant. The Sanctuary is licensed with Animal Control as a holding facility when primates are involved in a case and when the owner went to pick him up, she noticed a baby bottle in the bottom of his cage and opened it - the bottle contained milk with alcohol mixed in (we assume to keep him quiet, as young monkeys can be rather noisy). When the case was settled in court, the sanctuary was awarded custody of Russell. Since he was under a year old, I and some of the other volunteers were allowed to go in his cage and play with him. When I would go in, all he wanted to do was cuddle as you can see. The only problem was what I would look like when I came out, as he was not wearing a diaper.

Thank You Terri.

GAH! People suck! That is SO mean. Poor little guy.

JWright wrote in post #7435547 (external link)
Shortly after Russell came to the sanctuary they discovered he liked Brussel Sprouts. Now everyone at the sanctuary calls them "Russell Sprouts..."

ROFLMAO!

JWright wrote in post #7435635 (external link)
Heather knows the monkeys better than I do... On the rare occasion I go up there, I don't get closer to their cages than arm's length. I don't want my body parts anywhere close to their mouths. The ex-husband of the woman who owns the sanctuary was bitten by one of the Capuchin monkeys there and the resulting infection put him in the hospital.

 WOW!

Tiff, beautiful (though unprofessionnal ) baby shots!

Thanks, I think.

Thanks Re: the Paris shots. It is a beautiful city. I enjoy it everytime I go

I've been there once. I really want to go back. I didn't get enough time to play.

Now, now... Nothing wrong with the dark side. Permie joined the dark side, and she's just fine. Of course she's now wearing a black cape, and calling herself noink sith, but other than that, she's OK.

ROFLMAO!

G'mae fellow spleeners. My baby has a cold. Poor little dude had trouble falling back asleep last night. But, it didn't stop the smiles.

Sorry you east coast folks got dumped on.

TIFF Ian's portraits are extremely well done. His expressions are priceless and the leg warmers add a nice flash of color for me. I didn't notice the toe until it was pointed out, now it is the first thing I focus on. I'm afraid I'd have to clone it out unless it is very obviously his toe in the real file. How did you get him to sit so well? Was dad assisting?

Oh so cute. Did Russel go through DeTox? Had he gotten to the point of being addicted or was he rescued before that point?

Cute but it needs a SPIDER WARNING just say'n. Even antimated our friend the Dragon will not like this., and with the Mouse it is questionable.

ZANE I hope you won last night's battle. I also hope it kept our Regional Director grounded, I really don't need him in my office today.;)

Thanks. I will probably go clone it out. It made me do a double take too in the original. Corey was sort of assisting but Ian sat up on his own like that for a couple of minutes. I just got him arranged just right. Of course, it probably helped that he was naked on plexi and was probably sticking to it a little. Corey was on had for the inevitable tumble though.
