Sorry to hear of your woes in dealing with your son. My thought is that you just have to let him know that you love him and are there for help if he needs it, and let him work out for himself how he deals with things himself.

Like John, any time my son has shown even the slightest disrespect towards his mom, I step on him hard. He really does not do this much, though through actions where he really does not think, he still causes her grief.

metimes even thoes Texas ones too)

Jim its never easy I guess

Thanks. I love them, they are such cool dogs.

I found this photo on flickr one day browsing through a westie pool. I LOVE it!! NOT MY PHOTO: http://www.flickr.com …/stevecollins/3244430525/ (external link)

That is a great shot I can hardly wait to see your photos of the doggie

Congrats, Kody!

Deb, don't mistake 'simple' with lack of caring. They care, it is just approached differently. When we try to make anyone relate to us, it never works. We only control us, can only change us. This applies to everything. This saying applies (and this is a direct quote, in no way reflects or implies ANY DAMN THING boys, so don't get yer panties in a twist :))

'Don't try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.'

Deb, your boy may be nursing his own hurt feelings for whatever reason, and can't express what they are. I am just saying that it is never one sided, it always takes two. ((Deb))

Sometimes the two it takes is me and myself ..
I only know one thing for sure ..none of it matters and I love him and always will .

Now that had to make you smile this morning

Oh hon... I'm sorry that you're having a hard time, but please don't lump all men in together here. Men care, they care deeply... sometimes certain ones just don't know how to show it.

Not to worry Cat I could never do that I've known loving men and have one in my life even ,its just hard when its your son and he is distant and aloof to you ..and you know him , it makes me sad for him as much as for me .

Well, you got most of it right. drop the drugs, but rock and roll and beer in the back seat and i think you pretty much have it. :)

It is?? What age? Whell, really at what age does a comfy chair replace sex. Thats the only part I care about. ;)

There is a nude thread?

Dan's aunt is in surgery. 2 valve replacements, 1 valve repair and 2 bypass happening. They've given her a 50-50 chance of making it through the surgery.

Prayers.

Ya know... you don't NEED that special Scottish stool. A regular ol stool would do for the lady. Just sayin. :p

I wondered about that...I've never seen a cottonmouth but the head is very triangular which is a major indication of a venomous snake.

Actually that is an old wives, I mean, that's incorrect:p Many poisonous snakes that are pit vipers have triangular heads. Of the four species of poisonous snake in this county 3 are pit vipers. Boas and many constrictors also have triangular heads. The thing to look for is the heat sensing holes, they look like nostrils, between the nose and eyes.
The poisonous snake thing is overblown in this country. !2-15 people die a year and almost all of them are messing with the snakes when they get bit.

I don't think I ever said that we have a problem (if I indicated that, I didn't mean to) or that many people die...just that the snakes have the deadly potential.

Which of our snakes are pit vipers (and I thought all pit vipers were poisonous)? I'm just not sure what you mean? Other than constrictors I don't know of any snakes with triangular heads that aren't poisonous. And no natives to the US tmk.

I've seen that before as well. Great locations make for great shoots too...I've only had one great location (the mountain) so far. I'd really like to shoot a wedding somewhere cool!

I've heard this too, but only when referring to the Western U.S. I know there are poisonous snakes with narrow heads. We just don't have them in this part of the world.

I'd still give a snake plenty of room, anyway. Regardless what the head is shaped like.

You're right, I sit corrected...the coral snake doesn't have a triangular head....I wouldn't mess with anything banded black/red/yellow because I can never remember which combination would "kill a fellow"

I wasn't saying you were indicating that I just was pointing it out given the state of fear people have over snakes.I wasn't trying to discredit you or put you on the defensive.
I guess I was saying, and not limiting it to this country, that there are many poisonous snakes with regular heads and many nonpoisonous with triangular heads.

I thought it was red touches black you're ok jack, red touches yellow you're a dead fellow? lol I wouldn't bet my life on that though. ;)
