but you still have to buy a license if you don't have one.

the old version had a problem with macs.

The most potent venom in the world goes to: The Black Widow.

Not the brown recluse? That's what I seem to recall hearing somewhere.

no it's different (while I'm not sure about the black widow's potency) the brown recluse doesn't have the ability to kill you, it causes necrosis...so your tissue will rot and die. I've been bitten by one. It took a year for it to heal. It was one of the worst things I've ever had happen. And why I HATE spiders.

Brown recluse is nasty, for sure, but not as potent. The same amount of black widow venom will kill you.

how about the box jellyfish... It's sting is potent enough to kill 60 people in 3 minutes...

I knew someone who was bit ... Nasty, nasty bite. In a matter of days he had a hole the size of a half-dollar in his leg...

Mental note:

Avoid all places where snakes, black widows and brown recluses live....including places where that nasty jellyfish lives.

have you seen the info on the tiny box jelly in Australia? (it's just a couple of centimeters in size) but more potent than than it's larger kin? I've forgotten the name but I watched a special on it, not too long ago. man oh man...

The difference is in the volume of venom.

A single nip by a black widow will make you sick, but it won't kill you. Mainly because they only inject a minuscule amount of venom.

Sounds like a wonderful experience.

Reminds me of when I lived in Moorpark back in the early 1980's. I shared a house with a couple friends of mine. One of those friends had two dogs that had eight puppies while we lived there. One of the puppies came down with parvo. A couple weeks after he recovered from that, he was bitten by a black widow. Poor little dog... He recovered from the spider bite too, though.

I thought the most potent venom was from some wonderfully coloured frog in south america. a tiny drop of it paralyses you, then your innards stop functioning, and you naturally die off to feed the animals...

Oh boy...

Baby story...

Jonathan HATES being confined. He even hated the nurses swaddling him in the hospital (of course if you were an 11lb baby in a uterus you'd like your freedom too)

he doesn't like car seats, clothes that are too small or even the act of putting a shirt over his head.

Normally before he goes to sleep I have a blanket on him which will inevitably be kicked off before the eyes are closed. Today though, I was lying on the blanket (without realizing it) so instead of kicking it off...

HE SCOOCHED! He used his arms and pulled his little body until his whole body was free of the blanket and his feet were where his head was!!!

Guess it's time to start baby proofing...

Too funny! My kids were both the same way....hated swaddling and car seats.

Too funny on the scooching! Aidan was really good at that by your guy's age. Yes, sadly, time to be more aware of the floor stuff.

And, I'm off to home!
