Hi everybody, I have a question; can a Uv filter (Pratika filter, manufactured by BW) cause such a back focusing effect?

Atm there I have no chance to test it out, since both my camera and the 100 f/2 were sent to canon assistance because of this damn' back focusing problem :(
And the previous owner of the 100 F/2, ensured me that the lens was working fine with his 5D and had no issues with it

Thx everybody!

No, I don't think it can. The autofocus mechanism is in the body, so unless the UV filter is changing the focal point of the lens (doubtful), it shouldn't effect how a camera focuses. Even if it did (like closeup filters), I'm not sure it would affect how much the AF will tell a lens to move to focus.
