1st New Born Session

Good afternoon all. Well I had the pleasure to photograph this adorable little girl. She was 12 days old at the time of the shoot and she worked really well with me. Please let me know what you thing. I have to go through and re-edit some of these because i don't care for the skin tone and I have to work on the dodging and burning.

4, 5 and 8 look too bright on my UNcalibrated work monitor. But the others are very very well done. My favorite by far is #1.

For first time shots, these are really good. The skin tone issue is invariably challenging with newborns because of their poor blood circulation. I think you did a fine job. I would, however, do what you can to minimize the belly button as the umbilical cord isn't very photogenic and distracts from the rest of the image IMO.

Newborns are so hard to get - Great job!!!!

Very nice series... You must have had a really warm room... This baby just slept and slept for you... Nice to see you back.

Thanks all for the comments. I have a lot to learn but I think this session went really good. We were in the basement of the house and it was pretty warm but not to bad but the key is to have a little portable heater a couple feet from the baby.. Some people even use heater water things or a heating blanket. I would do that if we were in a cooler room.. She was a doll to photograph though..
