I will also be on the infield for the nationwide race tommorow and the 500 on sunday so hopefully I will be able to get a few good ones.

PS If you have a favorite driver who is not pictured, let me know I have 4-5 shots of each driver who was in the duels on thursday

Here's Kenseth For ya. I am actually working for my AROTC Battalion as the photographer and can get on the infield with my "all access pass" very nice perk to have. In between the duels on thursday I was on the infield with about 40 others with more than 100,000 in the stands behind us.

Looks like you're getting a good amount of motion blur/camera shake in these. Be sure to keep your shutter speed at about 1.6x your focal length to lessen the effects of camera shake. Also, I try to stay above 1/320 for pretty much anything moving if I possibly can.

Don't be afraid to stick around f/5.6 to keep your shutter speeds up and also don't be afraid to raise your ISO up to 800 or 1600 if needed.

Also, try using a focus point that isn't obstructed by something in between your subject and the camera. Use the outer focus points if needed.

Get any of my boy Carl Edwards? :)

What's with Johnson's "edgy" beard this year. Looks like him and stewart have been in the Alaskan wilderness for two weeks

BTW, anyone just watch the truck race? Was waiting for Busch to pull off his usual magic at the end there..not sure what happened

Hey Thanks alot for the tips, I was a bit worried to get above a 400 ISO, I also kept switching setting constantly. Tommorow I will be doing the same for the Nationwide series so I am going to give a F5.6 and 800ISO and a pretty fast shutter speed a try. Thanks again and here is the DUCK!!! AAAAAAA FFFFFFF LLLLLLL AAAAAA CCCCCCC

(The majority of them came out blurrier than any of the others, this one is probably the only half decent one)

I'm rather partial to NASCAR but then I make the bulk of my living off of it so I guess I'm biased...
