I've used a 1D Mark III before and it was simply stunning and now i'm back down to the 5D AF which is a complete change. Has anyone went to upgrade to a 1Ds3?

I've dealt with it for 3 years and promised id not upgrade.. but 8 of 10 photos out of focus @ 2.0 etc is not good.

TheHoff, Did you have the 5D Mark II before or did you just go 1DS3? I was going to buy a 5D2 but I bought a 1DS2 instead. The only way it is a step backwards is in terms of interface (button-pushing) and screen size. Obviously it isn't a 1DS3 (more mp, more AF cross-points) but it is half the price or less. The files it produces aren't any sort of sacrifice. Witness the multiple shots in the new SI swimsuit issue where they're still using a 1DS2 (via EXIF). ••Vancouver Wedding Photographer

I love the responsive AF and built like a tank feel. After shooting pro bodies, I just won't go back to a XXD body. That's really my preference imho.
