New Monopod ?

I am looking for a new monopod to replace my manfrotto 681b, been looking at Gitzo ones but does anyone have any sugested models in the Gitzo range.

It needs to extend to the same as the 681 but needs to pack smaller when closed and be lighter.....seen the GM2541 and was wondering if this model is worth looking into.
