Flash and indoor car shows?

I either use flash with the fec turned down to try and get some fill, or do not use it at all. But, I have seen a couple people talking about using flash and rear curtain sync. I do not see how this would make much difference at indoor car show with nothing moving. Am I wrong would this make a difference or not?

Event guys use it to stop people moving at the end of a blur? I agree with you that with nothing moving, it wouldn't make a difference. Maybe someone else has a different answer.
