Nice stuff. I'm diggin' that Willys (except for the swoopy scoop). Been a while since I shot at Thunder Valley.

Thanks. It kind of sucked that the track only really allowed me to take pictures from one side of the track.

I remember them being kind of particular about where photographers stand. However, they didn't restrict me to one side of the track. Do they still have a photographer's stand on one side?

Let me add that I like the way you caught the activity of the crew in some of those. I never quite know how to crop when you have two subjects, so to speak.

Yes, they do still have the photographer's stand. They just don't like it when people stand close the wall on the left side of the track. I guess if people see that I'm standing there, more people will start to go to the wall and start crowding.

I tried not to crop too tightly on the cars because I felt that it didn't give them enough lead room. And the way I see it, the crew are just as important and interesting as the cars sometimes so I made a judgement call with the photos - if the people around the car looked like they belonged in the photo, I left them in the crop.

I like the last one where the guy is smoking. Hard to believe they allow smoking on the line.

#3 and #5 are my favorites. The view on 5 is different from the norm and I like the lighting. In #3 I can picture the guy doing his hand like "GO!" I've seen that motion a lot of times, he just has kind of a goofy look, kind of takes away from the car but I still like it, gives it character. Good job!
