It's unusual to get good conditions for an 'in-flight' shot of Jack - but it all came together the other day. I always take my camera when out walking the dogs, and the other day, the sky was flat, therefore no good for landscape type shots, I took a medium zoom (70-200) , just in case anything of interest came about. As we were walking round the fields by home, the light started to improve, a hazy bright cloud, with the surrounding snow-perfect. It meant I could shoot at f5.6 (instead of F4) and ISO200 (against 400) and still retain a fast shutter speed. Also, it's normally a nightmare getting the correct exposure, with both Jess and Jack having such reflective white coats, in the snow it became a doddle. Jack knows how to perform for the camera, and will get into 'superman' mode readily. Poor Jess, she does try hard, but is such a short-a**e that she can't get lift-off when she runs :) In the 3rd & 4th image, Jess was enjoyably rolling around in the snow (top left in 3#), didn't realise there was a bit of a drop where a tractor had been along, and managed to toboggan down the slope, I think she realised she had made a bit of a prat of of herself and was looking decidedly embarrassed #4

Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga

All he needs in the first one is a red cape and you've got the new Wonder Dog!
