Hi all,

I recently started a thread requesting info for the Canon 40D, as I am currently wracking (is that a word?) my brains out deciding between a 40D and a Mark II as a primary body.

I formerly owned a 1D Mark II, but didn't like that, when pointed at the same hockey rink ice, it usually metered around -2/3 of a stop compared to my 20D.

Has anyone else noticed this? If not, I might pick up a second II and hope for the better. The AF tracking of course, was amazing!

Thanks!

I dont know, if the 20D metered anywhere near the D60 you will never get those results with the modern DSLRS. Why not just compensate the metering. the camera is supposedly great for sports, I have one but i shoot golf so they are not racing around so much and its normally green where i shoot.... :)

It's certainly true that metering can be different, but as long as you know about it I see no problem.

When the film Eos-3 was first released there was a howl of protest about just that, but Canon did nothing and we all just knuckled down to shooting.
