Managed to get out to the beach today (finally) and shoot some bodysurfing. Waves were happening and everybody was stoked to be out of school and work for the holiday.

Current was a little strong, especially after I got tumbled and lost a fin :(. Ah well, time to invest in some leashes.

Peace!

using an SPL, with a tokina 12-24 inside. #3? Ya wide angle, actually not too bad of a pounding on that one, couple minutes later I got tumbled all the way inside though.

cheers

In the water in trunks in February? I am seriously jealous! I'm dying for warmer weather and warmer water right now. Thanks for sharing your fun!

Nice pictures. I lived on Oahu for a few years while in the navy. Sandy beach is the very beach I learned what a shore break was... The hard way.

Haha, yep, everybody gets a swimming (read: surviving) lesson here, often more times than once!

These are sweet! Makes me miss summer. 30F and snowing today was not my ideal conditions. I would love to live in HI or anywhere warm all year.

^^x2 what do you use for your housing? Love sandys beach. I have some shots of the lifeguards practicing with the helicopter lifting people out of the water 'cus the current is weird out there.
