So I've had a 30D for a little over a week now.

It's my first DSLR. Really stoked about this camera. I took this shot with an 18-55 (Only Lens at the moment:)) on a hike this afternoon and thought I'd share.

Comments and Criticism appreciated!

Nice shot. I think you'll like the 30D. Get some good lenses as you can. For landscapes, hard to beat the 10-22 mm.

Nice....

I like stuff in the foreground....... It's sometlhing that I look for when shooting outdoors, as long as the foreground item isn't too distracting and adds interest or brings something to the composition..

Here, the stick across the stream is interesting, but the entire focus of the shot is the smoothness of the water and it's setting..

Therefore, I believe, although this is good, it would be a better without the stick...

I like the lighting, the Ashland area will give you lots of photo opportunities. Thanks for sharing!
