Ok so third lens and happy to report it seems much better. It needs approximately +17MA to be in focus most of the time but it is fairly reliable. It seems to shift focus a bit as things get closer and at MFD it needs much closer to 0MA. I know I heard some of you comment that yours needed a lot of MA...did any of you send it in to Canon and were they able to resolve the issue?

I also picked up the Siggy 30mm...It also needs +15MA or so but it seems to shift depending on distance much more significantly. More testing needed tonight to determine what the final choice will be. I was surprised how sharp the siggy was at F1.4. Definitely bests the 24mm.

Sharing some pics from my visit to the Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo. This lens rocks in low light and it worked out well on my 1Ds III. :) Obviously, these are shot through glass.
