Helena, these photos and the ones you took with the 50L are amazing. Such an amazing location! I wish i could experience something like that, but I have only ever lived in hot countries that don't get snow :(

Thank you tupper!I do feel fortunate to have all four seasons. Summers warm enough to go swimming and winters with snow enough to go skiing.

mojos: Impressive that you took such a nice photo of a flying bee with 24mm, and at f/1.4 at that!

Thank you very much! There weren't that much vignetting originally, but unfortunately I had underexposed the shot, and when brightening and increasing contrast the vignetting got really bad and I don't yet know how to fix it.

I wouldn't change a thing. The contrast is good, since in such an environment/lighting you'd be hard-pressed to get a "true black" anyway and the vignetting adds a little depth and character to the crazy weather.

To fix it though, you could go into "Filter | Distort | Lens Correction..." in Photoshop and apply a reverse vignette (lightening the corners instead of darkening them).

Hey SimD, nice photos. I just got back from India as well.

Here's my gallery on flickr http://www.flickr.com …k/sets/72157622933671250/ (external link)
Added Varanasi and Agra so far, but have all of Rajasthan to add as well

I'd post a photo, but unfortunately none were taken with the 24 1.4
