I always feel like this lens is severely underrated. People talk a lot about how great the 35L, 85L and 135L's are and they are but there's just something about using this lens at F/1.4. Its just magical. I love the contrast it provides. I find myself not even touching anything as far as editing wise when using this lens.

I used this lens on my 5D2 and I had problem to get it's AF right;
But in 5D3 I can get almost 100% right - magical lens :D

In another hand, my 85L works well on both 5D2 & 5D3 - So, I'm taking 5D3+24L / 5D2 + 85L out as my 'City-Walk-Around'.

The 24L II is such a sweetheart lens. I too feel like it sort of gets overlooked quite a bit.

i pick the 24L over that 35L any day !
