More info | Nov 18, 2014 10:19 | #6108 Was going through old shots trying to decide if I should buy the 35L or Sigma 35A.. then I found all my 24L II shots.. and I think my decision was made. I typically always control manually via the camera setting menu, but at that point we were moving around quite a bit and the ambient light was pretty good overall. I just needed an average fill light and figured I could trust ETTL for that (plus, like you, I rarely use it, so I just wanted to try it out.)

It was a single 580II in one of those portable softboxes to the right of the camera. Fired wirelessly with Yongnuo thingys. Very nice! I'm going to have to give ETTL a try outdoors.. The only time I ever use it is when I'm moving around a lot indoors. Definitely worked well for you here!
