I can buy the 17 TS-E right now but, I'm waiting for the next 1Ds. :) If the 1Ds is delayed even longer, I may just bite the bullet.

Expect the 1Ds Mk IV to be announced just before Photokina, possibly with a first delivery towards the beginning of November.

HTH, kind regards, Wim

Well, as sure as one can be about Canon products considering the tight-lipped-ness of Canon employees. :D

However, it is due (3 years since 1Ds Mk III), it is being tested in the field, Canon does announce prior to large events, and delivers quite quickly after announcement, as they make sure there is stock to be delivered prior to the announcement.

I think it is a quite sure bet.

Oh, and personally I don't have a particular interest in it (too expensive for my liking), plus that I'll just wait for the 5D Mk III with the same 32 MP sensor towards the end of next year, which I will likely buy towards the middle of 2012 :D.

Kind regards, Wim

Well, it is due soon and I'm anxiously waiting. Plus, I do hope the specs are similar to what's been rumored. There's no doubt that the next 1Ds will be expensive but, I'll wait(2-3 months)before purchasing to make sure there are no issues with the camera. The only way for me to jump on a 5D MK III is better AF(Similar to 7D). :)

 Yeah, same here, love the TL. The only issue I have with the car is the damn stock Acura battery. Died on me 2x in 2 years. Shameful. Decided to get a battery at Kragen instead. Ridiculous Acura batteries.

I should set aside more time and build more Gundams. If you've got any, post 'em up once your 24L arrives. :D

I just got a used 1D Mk III for better AF :D. This after shooting a waterski event with 5D II and 100-400L :D.

Kind regards, Wim
