 Yeah, same here, love the TL. The only issue I have with the car is the damn stock Acura battery. Died on me 2x in 2 years. Shameful. Decided to get a battery at Kragen instead. Ridiculous Acura batteries.

I should set aside more time and build more Gundams. If you've got any, post 'em up once your 24L arrives. :D

Stock batteries on new cars are never good. Once the stock one dies, I usually get something with more cranking power. I wish I had more time to build more Gundams but, I just don't. Most of my Gundam collection is in storage but, I do have a few toys that my son wanted to play with. So, I'll surprise ya. :):D

:D

I just got a used 1D Mk III for better AF :D. This after shooting a waterski event with 5D II and 100-400L :D.

Kind regards, Wim

Congrats on the 1D MK III! :) Once, you get the hang of a 1D body it's hard to go back to 9 point AF.

Excellent. I look forward to seeing what you've got.

He's on a rampage. He's clocking in at 97% for height/weight for his age. If this keeps up, I may have an NFL linebacker on my hands.

Thanks! :D

I don't normally need a zillion fast focusing points :D. However, at times it is nice to have something that can actually follow the action AF-wise without too many problems, rather than make me work very hard :D.

Kind regards, Wim

I recently posted some images with my new 24LII in a different thread, and it was suggested that I add some to this archive.

Mine finally came in yesterday. Woohoo! :D

My impressions:
-Solid build
-Weather sealing is great
-Love the lens hood
-Focus is quick and silent
-Shooting at 1.4 is sharp but, I do notice the vignette . This really doesn't bother me at all since it gives the image a unique look.
- As you stop this lens down it starts to cut your eye open bcoz' it's that good! ;)
- There's definitely a nice balance when you mount this on a 1D Body. Particularly on my 1Ds MK III.
- I mounted a standard CPL and it does vignette. Remedy for this is to use a slim CPL.
-I haven't had a chance to mount my Lee filter holder on it yet but, will report back if any vignetting occurs.
- I have taken shots with it but, it's nothing to write home about. Will post some in the future. :)
