I've been reading through manuals and going through the menu system and don't know if this is possible.

When I delete an image on my 1D3 or 1Ds3, it only seems to delete it off ONE card. Is there any way to get it to delete off BOTH cards at the same time? I've tried setting the writing scheme to "Record to Multiple" so the two cards should be duplicates, but that doesn't work either. IS there a Cfn that I'm not seeing? Thanks

No, I don't believe you can delete them simulatneously. I would think that Canon would consider this to be an undesirable feature from a safety/redundancy perspective. That said, the 1D3 is so highly customizable that it wouldn't surprise me if such a feature existed. Now if they could only figure out how to put an old fashioned mirror lock-up button somewhere on the body (just like in the old days) that would really be something.

Enable live view in the custom functions and the 'SET' button becomes MLU so long as you are not using a flash.

Boy this would be a great feature, but also a dangerous one for professionals as you wouldn't want to clear both cards of critical data without thinking about it.

darn. I can see why they wouldn't have that from a safety perspective... but I figured they'd at LEAST have the OPTION to change that if you wanted. I guess not... :(
