Another one of the opening band galleries that I am catching up with. Rubblebucket Orchestra is a spin off of the reggae/funk band John Browns Body that mixed jazz and afro beats in a heady concoction that was some of the best new music I have heard in a long time. They opened up for Mike Gordon and the morning after I was talking to Mike's drummer and he said, "Those guys blew us off the stage."

I betcha Narlus has seen them before. He sees all the cool bands.

Real nice set Tony...

I find pics # 7 and 8 to have great angles and action, all condensed into a pretty good framing.

How was the lighting? Any noise issues? Is it your trusty 17-55 f/2.8 IS lens that you used? When did you get the 40D?

Super set! I love a cute saxophonist, and two is an order of magnitude better! Looks like a great horn section all around, actually. I'd consider shooting at ISO 1600 rather than 1250 to get just a tad faster shutter ... those first couple look a bit soft.
