Hey, thought I'd post one of my photos from last year which I recently started processing again. Could really use some tips on how to sharpen fur in the best way and stuff like that. For now I've only used a HighPass at around 2 in radius (I think, can't rly remember) and also edited out some glare/ghosting that was showing up at the right whiskers aswell in her eyes. Oh yeah and a curves-layer (slight S-curve).

Hi Goos

On my 27" monitor the difference between the two posted shots focus looks very subtle. Did you do the sharpening after the resize? But the eye is more obvious.

I generally use a touch of USM (45, 0.3, 0) after I've re-sized for the web.

BTW Lovely cat.

I did the sharpening before the resize but from what you're saying I'm guessing the USM will have bigger visual effekt for the resize if you do it after the resize?

It's best to sharpen after you resize. It's always the last thing I do to a picture.
