I would modify that. In my attempts, it seems to be an impossible to get item.

The local camera shop owner told me they get about one a month. Come on Canon, cut us a break here!

Yeah anyplace you can find one buy it.... It took me a while to get a couple of extra batteries. I was talking with Canon CPS tech's and they admitted that the hardest Canon item to find right now is the 5DmkII batteries.

I will say that the batteries last a long time, I have two in the grip and they will let me shoot almost all day long. The extra battery in the case is just an insurance type thing.

This is so frustrating. I have my camera for 9 weeks and can't get a battery. I "registered" on every legit camera website to be notified when they come in stock, including b&h, and obviously no confirming emails are being sent. The only places that have them are getting at least $129 and I just bit the bullet and ordered one at that overprice because I need a backup battery to shoot the Sebring 12 Hours ALMS in a couple of weeks. Absolutely incredible.....
