I've been following the excellent advice from www.stuckincustoms regarding HDR work and I'm coming up stuck in one area that I hoped someone could help me with.

I shot five images in RAW then dropped them all into Photomatix Pro I saved the final result as a Jpeg and left the originals as RAW files. The problem is that the tutorial say's to bring the images into Photoshop to begin work on layers an masking. I can do this with my HDR which I converted to Jpeg but not with my RAW images which automatically go to Camera RAW.

I'm sure it's pretty simple to correct but I've been faffing around all morning. Any help would be much appreciated.

Load the RAWs into Camera RAW and "develop" them to get jpegs. Then, load them all into a layered file in PS with the HDR at the top, followed by the darkest one and then the middle (or "0") image. This is what I do with an HDR consisting of 3 bracketed shots. You most likely won't be needing the +2 shot unless there is something really dark that you want to pick detail up from.

Make sure that you align each layer with the HDR layer after locking it in place. Unlock before attempting to edit. HTH...

Thanks Joe, I'm beginning to get to grips with things now.
