Here is a shot I took in India recently, and I thought it had a nice Biblical look about it. Comments would be welcomed - good or bad!

I think it would be better without the wall on the right side, cropped in portrait orientation.

You may well be right - my only problem with that is that the figure is going out of the picture.

I agree, or at least desaturate the brickwork so it doesn't distract soo much.

I have to agree with hawkeye60's crop. Before I even saw hawkeye's crop, the first thing I thought was "wow...that wall needs to go!". I would much rather see the person "walking out of the scene" here rather than the big wall there that just seems to completely dominate the image. In fact to me, the person in this shot doesn't really convey much sense of movement to me...it looks more like this person may actually just be standing there looking at the other building (almost makes me wonder if the other building is "home"?). To me at least, the person in this shot -is- the subject matter...not the foreground wall and in all the other edits, my eye just goes straight to that wall and get's "stuck" there. It really detracts from an otherwise wonderful scene.

BTW...I would have left the branches in the top of the image in as they make a nice little framing device.

Just my $.02 worth,
Jim
