I'm creating a logo for the photography business I'm starting up with a friend.

I can't decide between the one with the additional lines or the one without.

The one with conveys the image of the speedo/tach a little better but the one without is a little cleaner.

I like the one with out the lines better. The one with out the lines looks much cleaner. I agree with you that the one with the lines does seem to convey the message a bit more clearly. I think from the name of the company and from the fact that in the cleaner one it still looks like a tack that it will be fine.

I prefer the bottom, but I would lose the red underline below your text.

I would lose the red underline also and maybe make it to look like a real tachometer with a red line area and numbers. Just an idea. Besides that, your on the right track. I just had a poll up to see which one of my watermarks I liked better also.

Top

but IMHO I would make the tach bigger.

Using business cards as a starting point - I would make the tach large enough to fill up the card from top to bottome

IMHO I like the bottom one

Logos need to be simple and I believe the second one is simple and still conveys the message. I also think that you should lose the red line under the words.

Other then the red line I think it looks really good man.

#2 has my vote.

I also agree with the red line.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I'll edit out the red line and run it by my business partner and see what he says.

I personally like the red line. :)

Knock the transparency of the tach markings down by half and italicize the text to give an impression of speed...

Just tossin' out an idea.

Number one with a red line area, and no underlining - I would like to see an italicized version as noted above.
