not 10,000 photos. More like 4,000

The thing is about 3 minutes long (180 seconds). Even assuming standard 29fps for NTSC, thats 4,100.

It was too jittery (not smooth) enough for 29fps, much less the 65fps needed for 10,000 frames..

Cool nonetheless

Yeah, but what about all of the photos used to make the 'animated' objects in the video?

I do agree though... probably not 10,000 ;)
