If that happened to me, almost $9,000 in just a body and lens, my jaw would have hit the floor.............lite​rally. LOL but that's because I'm 16 and $9,000 is a hell of a lot of money to someone like me!

Has anything come of this yet? I doubt suing her will do anything. Just send it in to Canon and get it fixed. I know when I stop shooting I put my camera away first then worry about the rest of my things. I never leave my camera alone for one second. I really should look into insurance just in case.
