Feb 23, 2009 05:39 | #8 Thanks Petris, really though about composition alot during the day. Pete Owen wrote in post #7385864 1 & 6 for me Jay......Brilliant! Wish i had the eye for that sort of composition ![]() Wind was a bit chilly up there yesterday.....but then you'd be used to that after norway Pete Yesterday was shorts & t-shirt weather RichD wrote in post #7385979 Very nice! #1 is my favourite with the village in the background. Thanks Rich .. the village looks great from a distance, not quite so pretty up close. chrispons wrote in post #7385998 Really good stuff ,Jay,high quality stuff mate. Just proves you dont need long lenses for a creative photography. Love the flying Metro ,great shot. Pons Cheers Chris. Really happy with the 135mm, I'm generally finding the longer the lens you use the more the car becomes the prominent feature of the photo. Big Ant wrote in post #7386011 Looks good Jay, it gives that "pop" you were after #1 is nice, I've seen a competition winning shot from there before, #3 would work in b&w i think All very nice apart from the last(not sure it works) imo of course ![]() Thanks Ant photonick wrote in post #7386076 Great stuff as usual Jay. Like the ones around the village. Cheers Nick ... cant wait to get back on the ranges ... soo many options for different photos. Though next time I wont be too quick to venture into the village. Cheers

Feb 23, 2009 13:05 | #12 Everytime I go up there I stumble on a new location which always seems to be better than the previous one. You've got to love the ranges Anke wrote in post #7386266 Everyone a winner! Great series. Thanks Anke. Cheers Baldy, I guess the 'power' of the f2 is more prevelant with that image. With the shallow DOF you can get a nice pop Cheers

Feb 24, 2009 02:11 | #15 Cheers Simon, my wife also did a double take and queried where I'd spent the day KiwiRallyFan wrote in post #7389096 #1 and #4 for me, although they're all good. Well done on the composition. It's really good seeing what's around the cars and showing the environment they're racing in, after all that's what makes rallying different to circuit racing. Thanks Kiwi, to me it's the environment that make rallying ... so I always try and capture some of it in my photos. Cheers
