Is there a way to do this.
I really don't need full blown PS.
I'm looking for a way to apply a filter to a batch of photos from PSE.
Any ideas?
Kind of hard to justify spending that kind of cash for PSE just to be able to record an action.
I have PSE 6

My Elements experience stops at PSE 5, but batch processing/actions was a big reason I made the move to CSx -- if you shoot at any volume, the time saving adds up.

I've heard that Element has some batch features, but I doubt that it comes close to the utility of CS.

That being said, there are probably plugins for Elements that simplify some common tasks, I just can't vouch for any real ability to do what you want. I think Elements is designed for the one-at-a-time photo processor. I may be wrong, though, for recent versions.

I'm shooting volume and pse one-at-a-time thing is severely hampering me.
But dropping the cost for CS is a killer right now.

I know what you mean, it's all in the value you put in your time, as opposed to what you are willing to spend. Sorry! Like I said, the same concerns are what made the $$ jump to CS compelling to me.

As I've always understood it, PSE can replay an action, but they cannot be created using it. Unless of course the newest version is different?

So maybe beg some time on someone elses computer? Or see if there are any actions already on offer here?
