Future opportunities abound

By no means a technically good image as I was practically shooting directly into the sun at the end of a long morning. While scouting for some new fishing spots on the St. Johns river yesterday I discovered this osprey nest that was taken over by some GHO's. I think that since it is tucked so far out of the way down a weed choked tributary I will be able to have unfettered access to document these chicks maturation and maybe some good adult fly bys.

Oh, you've just got to take a ladder in with you. What an angle you'd have from atop a small stepladder. Of course, you don't want to make such a commotion so as to disturb the owls. I'm not recommending that you disturb them. Just that you get that eye-level angle.

Wow those babies are really fuzzy. They almost look like stuffed animals.
