I just created a new website with new package, prices, etc. Complete overhaul on everything I offer. I do not put prices online because I do not want to scare anyone off if they think they are too high. I want people to submit their information to me and then I have a change to sell them from there. However, I have been having numerous people think the print credit amounts on my packages are the actual prices of the packages. Please check it out and let me know how I can change it or if I can even change it at all to make it less confusing. The website address is http://www.markcoffman.net (external link)

LOL I guess it takes all kinds. I don't see how anyone shopping for a wedding photographer hasn't heard of the phrase print credit. Maybe you might want to keep it off and use it as a final push for the sale once contact is made.

Gear: 7Dx2, Canon 17-55 2.8 IS, Canon 50 2.5 macro, 70-200L F4,430EX and numerous Alien Bees and reflectors.

Well, considering your adamant on not showing any prices, I'd leave out prices/credit on anything, period.

Or alternately have it set like your Engagement packages

(20) 4x6 (10) 5x7 (5) 8x10

And so forth. And then after it in brackets have (Or alternately, the same value of prints in the sizes of your choice)

Or something of the like.

Credit / Paypal image is sitting on top of a button, so you can't get to it. The initial image that shrinks to the bottom right is a great idea - pulls you in so to speak, but it should fade out and another replacing it, or something - it is sort of a let down if you wait for it to finally go, and nothing else happens. You should look into overriding the look of the scrollbar (noticed it in the weddings, but you can apply this to the whole site) - make it match the look and feel of your site using cascading style sheet, or an in-line style:
<STYLE>
<!--
BODY
{ color:#000000;
background-color:#ffffff;
scrollbar-face-color:#666666;
scrollbar-arrow-color:#FFFFFF;
scrollbar-track-color:#C2C1C2;
scrollbar-shadow-color:#000000;
scrollbar-highlight-color:#000000;
scrollbar-3dlight-color:#808080;
scrollbar-darkshadow-Color:#202020;
}
-->
</STYLE>
need any help, let me know!

I used to do the number of print thing but I don't want to dictate what my customers have to order as part of their package. If they want to skimp on some 4x6 and order some more 8x10, thats their choice and I want to advertise as such. I also had the idea of saying something like "Tier 1 print credit" "Tier 2 print credit" and so on to denote that each one progressively gets better with the better packages. I am open to leaving out a dollar amount all together and differentiating the amount of the credits once the customer has contacted me and we begin the sales process.

Thank you for noticing the problem with the paypal logo. I am new to CSS and am learning very quickly. I am designing the site in Dreamweaver CS4 on a mac. When I view the page in safari and firefox on mac it displays fine without overlap. Do you happen to know how I can get that logo to appear in place on all browsers whether it be mac or windows?

Thanks!

Perhaps if you make your footer div shorter, and push the paypal div down even with it - change this:

<div id="footer" style="position:absolute; width: 1000px; height: 125px; top: 475px; clear: both;"> ...(some code removed here)...</div>
<div id="paypal" style="position:absolute; width: 189px; height: 99px; left: 730px; top:388px;">
<img src="../paypal_logo3.jpg" />

to this:
<div id="footer" style="position:absolute; width: 811px; height: 125px; top: 475px; clear: both;"> ...(some code removed here)...</div>
<div id="paypal" style="position:absolute; width: 189px; height: 99px; left: 730px; top:475px;">
<img src="../paypal_logo3.jpg" />

You may need to play with the height of the footer due to the reduced width, but if you line those up, they should be happy in any browser.

Thanks for the help on the scroll bars. It looks great! Only problem is that it only works in Internet Explorer. I am having more troubles with this website than I could have ever imagined. The text at the bottom of the main page, in firefox, is shifted too low and you cannot see the copyright line. in IE this looks fine. Also on the wedding package page, the links for price and payment options are shifted too high in IE but look fine in Firefox.

The quick fix, since you've changed to a white background for the majority of the viewing area, would be to change the body style from black to white:
from:
body { background-color: #000000;}
to body { background-color: #ffffff;}
Good for you, for testing other browsers. You have a choice of checking the browser on launch, and changing the styles used too. Use an onLoad event, and change the body style in the above example, if not ie.
