It will, provided that point was actually activated (either by half press of the shutter, or by pressing *, depending on CFn4 setting) during exposure.

I don't see the focus point red in DPP for any of my pictures when using One Shot focus. But since you said this I did an experiment and now I know why... :D

I focus with the * button, but I never keep the * button pressed when pressing the shutter button (when using One Shot focus). That is why DPP doesn't show the focus point red. If you keep the * button pressed while taking the picture, DPP will show the focus point red.
Thanks Rene

CFn 4-3? Then also check this:
Pick up your camera, set OneShot AF, Evaluative metering.

Aim at a dark subject. Press * to focus. Now while keeping the * pressed, aim at a light source. Watch the meter reading. Now release the * button, and watch the meter reading again.

A lot of camera's (IIRC, all excluding 10D and the latest models, which don't have a CFn 4, but the new sets of CFn's), will lock AE when they lock AF in this mode with CFn 4-3 set.

So it might be (not sure) that one of your camera's is different from the other in that respect.
