Brett, you can always try pointing the flash head up, and just use the catchlight card, if you have one, to push some light forward. Or, just use an index card, rubber band it to the flash head, and go to town.

That said, it's really nice work. I could see someone using that as an album cover. ![]() Thanks everyone for the flash help. ![]() man .. I see what you mean .. that was the last thing going thru my mind, but I can see what you are talking about .. love when I others open my eyes ...

My two cents. I like the shot but would like to see more of the left side of her face. I'm also distracted by the scarf. I'd like to see the colour version. bminear wrote in post #7639210 here's a pic from my shoot today! some portrait fun! Didn't see Bigfoot but I did notice the branches growing out of his head.

You know how when you think of something that might happen then it does? I was out shooting in the high winds today and thought "Gee, I should put my tripod away before it blows over". I then proceeded to deal with all the lenses and stuff spread out in my trunk and I hear a crash and there's my tripod flat out on the pavement. At least I was smart enough to take the camera off but I still got road rash on my tripod and the ballhead. Lesson - do it when you think of it! PS. To top it all off, the photos were crap! I'm glad to see you dont read my post .. hahahaha.. I already gave my spills about my two mishaps .. unlike you on one the camera was left on with the lens and lens broke .. already in canon for repairs and on the second one the AB800 was left on and puff the AB800 broke in half .. another on the way .. but whatever ... At least you made me think about taking the camera off!

One thing I've learned about POTN (or any other forum) is you will get two opinions on everything. Go with what floats your boat! ![]() oh that's wassup, but guess what .. I had the same feeling when I put the AB up .. I was like I took the umbrella so no way this is going down and puff .. lmao ... but at least we learn now ..
