Rikan....nice edit but is the white vignette on purpose? Not a fan of that personally.

Haven't sold it, but the only thing I'd be interested in is a 135L...Wouldn't happen to have on of those to trade, would ya?

I wish BH had them in stock.

L1TTLEgreenMAN wrote in post #7651397 (external link)
hahaha I wish!!! well if BH has 35Ls or 135Ls in stock don't tell me!!! haha I need to SAVE..... :( Im kinda on the fence deciding if i want 135L or 200L. i know i want to ditch the 70-200 though.

I hate to tell you guys this but Calumet had (10) 135L's in stock last week.
They are a little more expensive on this lens but they have it.
They will also work with you a little on the price if you get the right salesman.
Now, go out and spend some money!

Hmmm...What do you guys think about buying an 85L classic for $1220. It's like new, and would replace my 50L.

It might be the only way to get my hands on the 85L at all. I don't think I can spring for 1500+ for a mk II if I could even find one.

I would only be using it to shoot static objects, so I don't think the AF would bug me. It's slow, I know, but it is still very accurate I take it...Right?

Not a bad price at all...and not a bad lens. 85L II has some changes, but, ver 1 still isn't 'that' bad...after all, it is an L. ;)

I think it's jpeg/compression/resize artifacts -- you see "jaggies" on her arms.

i think that's due to the background, the railing creates a weird effect.

See if you can overlay it with a black one.

I like the contrast on that shot bminear.

Does anyone use a Photek Softliter? I'm thinking about ordering one after reading all the great reviews here. Seems like the best softbox replacement for speedlights.

Thanks. Just what I needed to push the "buy" button. :D

Now I have to read up some more on lighting, posing, etc.

Rikan, I know you've gotten a lot of crits here of your work, but I really like the style of your shots and PP. It's very different and moody.
