I'm really hoping I get to use the 5D to do it. Man, that car would be a total sleeper. Unless it has some crazy paint job or huge wing. Bring on the pics when you get them! Christopher

I've been waiting for a decent deal on a good condition body. I found one on ebay for $1390 Buy It Now, and I am getting $180 cash back from Live.com...The seller states it has less than 1000 clicks. I'm so excited now. Time to go about acquiring some new lenses!

One thing that will help is the weather is going to be pretty wet for the next few days, so send her in now! Its going out in the morning. I have my 1d for the time being. And I'm working all weekend so all is not lost.

I'm taking my kids to a couple airshows this year, and with the summer coming, lots of zoo trips, and thinking that an 85 1.8 would still be great for portraits, and I could also land a 100-400 IS. I decided that's the cheapest way to have a little bit of reach for me with the new 5D. If anyone's intterested, PM me or look for the thread. JAKE

Sounds like a good option. A friend of mine has a 100-400, and it's very versatile at the zoo. Good for, erm....the 'b' word. Yeah...that one. MCSquared Photography

Not completely as sharp as the 400 prime, but, good enough.I guarantee you that it's sharper than a shot at 200mm with having to crop down to what I would get natively at 400mm Name is Peter and here is my gear:
