That's a cracker mate! I can see that one on the back of a London Bus advertising a travel company or something like that.

Great light, I don't know what i'd want to do more; snap or surf :)

Thanks. Do both and you will be fine. :D

This makes me want to be there so badly. ;)

It's summer time for vacation. :D

Here is another blue sky from last weekend.

I've just got another 5D after not using one for a few months, i've been using a 5D MK2 for a few months now...the funny thing is, now i'm back to the 5D 'classic' I hardly miss the MK2 at all!

I love the 5D (with all it's little annoyances - like that cr@p screen which is only any good for reminding you weather or not the lens cap is on or off). The quality of the images it produces are breathtaking - even when compared to it's replacement.

Here's a shot from the 5D and 17-40 l took last year in Switzerland.

^^ Any HDR going on in that pic? It's fantastic! Like your shadow, too.

Thanks Menelaus :)

No HDR involved on this, just a single hand-held shot then tweaked the levels a little - used the Highlight/Shadow tool in CS4 just to bring the shadows up a stop then applied +15 saturation and a little unsharp mask.

I liked the shadows on the mountain sides too. Looks pretty good as a 30x40" canvass print too!

Nice bird Geno! What species is that? I haven't been posting much, but I have been lurking. Helena, I see you're lovin' that 50L!

Hi Perry. Sorry, I have no idea what kind of bird it is.

Here's my take on crashing's photo. Shawn's had some pixelation that I would consider excessive in the center, most likely due to pushing the purple a hair too far.

could be because of editing a very small jpg from the web?! you wouldnt see that if i did this to the raw or original jpg.

Beautiful shot. I visited Swithzerland and Austria a few years back - without a doubt some of the most amazing scenery I've ever seen.

Makes a helluva portrait lens too btw...

Some feel it's maybe unflatteringly "too sharp"
