Edit for you. Just playing. I'll remove it if you hate it.

I don't hate it at all. Could you explain what you did, please?

Umm....

Did a little pucker on her tummy.
Ran a color pop action
ran a contrast boost action
darkened the background
and added a texture (sandpaper )

And a LOT of masking.

If you are on yahoo you can try and catch me: redfoxphoto

I haven't been out shooting much the past few weeks. I just did a new comp build and I was getting that all up and running and I just graduated college so I've been working a lot.

Nice! I love the second one and her shoes!!!

The first one would have been just a bit better IMO if you hadn't chopped her shoe and hand. Third one as well. Helpful rule: never crop at joints.

LOVE the third and fourth.

The first one is cute but NEVER put horizontal stripes on a girl. They make you look WAY bigger than you are. They make her look wider than she is. The second one looks *maybe* a touch underexposed oh her face. Try and lighten it up maybe.

Thanks .. one the 1st one Chopped hand was my bust and compensated by shopping legs and the 3rd one was chopped intentionally ... makes you want to see shoes and thats why the 4th one is just shoes ..

lol .. not sure if that made sense oh well ..

So should I just use them two or keep it as a series?

See if you can unchop the shoe in the first, and then definitely use the second and last one. The third is meh.

Just my opinion. ;)

just out of curiosity, what aperture were you at for this shot? i've never seen 50 1.8 bokeh so smooth and non-pentagony for the lack of a better word.

thanks tiff! yea, the stripes were her choice, i said a button-up shirt, and she brought a polo, but that is good advice! and ill bring her face up a bit, i noticed that too, its not that bad when you look at the big version in PS, but as soon as i uploaded it to flickr it seemed to bring the whole thing down a bit.

NO! Clearly this cannot be the Sigma 50 1.4! The Measurebators all told me it would not focus on the 5D! The told me the CA would be unbearable! They told me the colors would be bad!

Cute kids, great captures, perfect PP, by the way ;)

Sigma must have sent me a broken one ;)

That would generally mean it was wide open. Even my original 85L adds some shape to the bokeh when not wide open.
