Thanks Michael. :D

Mahalo Geno. :D

Here is imho an improved version. I cloned out the kayaks and other distractions so the focus is more on the lonely boat and the background mood. :D

very nice . great mood I really like these OTT dark skies. Not many do esp for print but I just love it!!!

Thanks. Actually the mood is not necessarily depressed. it also gives me that feel of peace and calm. Maybe the calm just before the storm. :D

Interestingly it didn't take too long to turn into a beautiful blue sky after a pouring rain. The other photo (the two small islands on the background) with a blue sky was taken about 1 hr after this shot.

Hope you can take constructive criticism but it appears you started with a soft photo (perhaps very thin DOF) and applied way too much sharpening.

I bought a Canon 5D (second hand) a month ago and am very happy for him. The only drawback is that not indicate ISO and AWB is not really accurate to artificial light, but that there is RAW.

I had this shot last month. However I never liked the background with city and buildings. So I decided to clone out the city in the background and here is the new version. :)

Interesting concept Tiff...

Yours, Hers or a Colaboration?

My concept. The poems and and their artwork is hers.

She had the poetry in frames and wanted to use them. I did another shot with them in the frames...my concept was to have her framed and represent poetry as well....like framing her emphasized that she herself was poetry.

Yeah, her expression is a bit forced. I think she was getting annoyed with me. I still like the result though.

And thanks for the music recommendation. I really enjoy Spanish music...just not flamenco too much.

EDIT: He's kind of too flamenco-y for my taste. lol

Thanks. The shot isn't as nice without the overlay.
