I have no idea what a Canon-importer is either. I have my card reader coming in two weeks and I have no 5d software. I feel like I have a 5d paperweight, unless I want to strictly shoot JPEG, which I dont.

Buy Lightroom 2, problem solved!

If you don't want to do that, you can download DPP and Canon RAW directly from Canon, both of those should be enough to do what you want to do.

Your red seems a little off or your ketchup has gone bad.

What's the difference between ketchup and catsup? Seriously, is there one? If not, why two different words?

The 5D is big and clunky and the LCD sucks. but it gets the job done and i love mine (mines even the newer LCDs starting with serial # 21) but its still meh!

It's actually a relatively permanent genetic treatment... ;)

It seems I'm still having the issue. If I was to get LR2 would it have a codec built in to recognize my RAW files from the 5d. Otherwise, I'm having a problem with Vista always recognizing my files.

Haha, thanks.. I use to many forums :P I will try not to post the same thing to different forums. Seems that many are using both potn and fm..

Hey, it doesn't bother me. I only check out the alternative lens forum on FM every now and then - very cool place though. Keep posting, its a beautiful shot.

I do 90% of my RAW editing in DPP. IMO the output is superior to everything else in terms of RAW converions. I use LR to further edit some of the jpeg's or TIFF's.
