3 Lesser Sandhill Cranes

Had the amazing opportunity to get really close to three wild Lesser Sandhill Cranes last weekend during a birding class. They usually don't like to get too close to people, but this group liked us ;)

Good series. Some are very easy to approach, others aren't. Just depends on their exposure to humans.

Thanks. It's in Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Delta, BC. About a 40 min drive from downtown Vancouver. I have more pics coming up from that site.

All taken with the 400. Some with the 1.4, some without. The lens take the converter pretty well, and auto focus works great too. That's when pins are taped, of course.
