There are words like bokeh.

I think we need some NEW words.

Example:
Term: b-stop (blame stop)
Def: The degree to which you're blaming your lens for OOF shots

Veterans must have terms MUCH better than that one in their archives.

Post 'em up!?

:rolleyes::cool:

Am I the only one that thinks "Bokeh" sounds like a silly, made up word? It just bugs me. When people say it it sounds to me like they are speaking one of those "made for internet" words like "rofl" or "pwned".

Na, it's a real Japanese word meaning blurry. It's been around for quite some time.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

it doesn't really mean blurry, more like "out of it" when looking at a Japanese comedy context. Probably some wapanese that coined that into photography

Mulligan or Gimme
Def: when a model/subject is so photogenically attractive, you have to be blind and stupid to stuff the shot up.

Mulligan is a free do over, gimme sounds good though. :)

Term: CLP
Definition: Craigslist Photographer

The Craigslist Photographer is the bottom of the barrel/low end when it comes to professional photography. These folks are usually the shot and burn for a few hundred dollars crowd. Within the past year or two they got their first digital SLR and they just decided they want to do weddings. By the time they get enough experience and develop the talent to charge more than a few hundred dollars, they realize the damage they've done. That is, they've priced themselves into the low end and helped to bring the overall market down in their area.

Very similar to the CLP definition above, except even more pathetic. Someone who works for dimes.
