D10.2.2 – Dry cell batteries
Dry cell batteries must be:
♦ removed from the appliance or device for which they were intended
♦ inserted separately, if sent in the same postal article as the appliance or device
♦ packaged so that the points cannot come into contact with each other.
were the previous rules, so I sent a package with the batteries packaged that way for a mere $180.
It was returned today and when I called ECI (australiapost's courier division) I was told it was returned because the airlines will no longer take batteries, and to call them next week when they knew more.
anyone else had this problem?
