Just got my 1DsII back from repair, now I want to get me a new battery but not at Canons prices. I am loking at a Quinox battery on Ebay (40€, 35 GBP) as it has a rubber seal (this is not mentioned on cheaper batts.)

Anyone have a make they prefer?

If you can get them in Germany, Lenmar make's excellent NP-E3 replacements. Very well built, includes a soft rubber seal (just like the Canons), and actually has a larger capacity. Very good replacement battery, and much, much cheaper than the Canons. I got mine for $35 US. Amazon sells them (among others) in the US, but I couldn't find it on the Amazon.de site.

Try closer to 1800 shots.

I have had my Lenmar on my 1DII since its last charging for about 2 weeks, and I shot 250 frames today, and it's still showing a full charge.

I hate to appear pedantic but; can some one tell me why a question about batteries is in a section of the forum specially set aside for info on lenses ? You will probably get a better response to you question in the "Canon EOS Digital Cameras " section
