Went back to the track to try my hand at Greyhound racing again. Should have stayed home because the light was terrible but that made it all the more challenging.

Any comments regarding the ethics of racing will be reported and removed. Thanks.

Those are good. I like #3 the best. The eyes on the third dog from the left are intense. Thanks for sharing.

And what angle would you like and maybe I can accommodate you ? These were just the first 4 I edited. On that note I am really limited to where I can shoot from. If I set up in the interior of the track with the sun at my back I have lots of distracting elements in the background. I can't shoot from the back stretch either because the rail runs along a wall.

Great shots.

Only thing is they look a little bright/overexposed on my monitor. Not blow out or anything, just bright.

I'm not sure I understand why you thought the light was terrible. These look pretty good to me. As mentioned earlier, they seem just a bit overexposed and could probably benefit from a slight contrast adjustment but the range from shadow to highlight seems to be pretty well managed.

I wish we had dog racing in Indiana. It looks like a pretty fun sport to shoot. Nice work.

Try to pan with them running perpindicular to you? A shot from above? A regular shot from the side? Im not saying these are bad Id just like to see some different angles. You can only see so many shots of dogs running straight at you before it starts to run together (no pun intended ;) )

I agree. Good feedback, great pun.

I think a dog track would be a fun place to shoot with remotes.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have some panning ones and side angle ones that I will post in a few days.

It's a really touchy balance at the track. The state doesn't usually permit photography due to animal right activists. It's taken a couple trips now to get the trainers and track personnel to realize my intentions are solely photography related. That is one of the reasons I haven't just roamed freely around but will do so more as I gain their trust.
