These are all awesome shots. I really need to get me some adapters. I always see cheap lenses on craigslist, but they're never for canons.
Any adapter (cheap preferably) that you guys suggest?

I have a lot of really nice MF nikon lenses and my husband shoots canon still so I'm wondering how well the adapter would work for him. The Nikon mount adapts really easily to the Canon, the adapters are great. I really enjoy the 60 2.8 Micro on my 5D, and I'm about to pick up (hopefully) an AI 105 2.5, Kiron 28 f/2, and maybe an AIS 35 f/2, all Nikon mount. That's one of the beauties of the Canon system, it's the easiest system to adapt other lenses to. You should let him try the 14-24 on a Canon Perry | www.perryge.com

PerryGe Batteries? We don't need no... . . . or cards. More info | Feb 21, 2009 13:48 | #6 No, I got mine off a guy I know in Hong Kong who does quality control (who's actually a member of this forum) - sold them to me at cost, very cheap, very well built. The ebay ones should be fine too, feel free to PM me links and I might be able to comment on the quality (no promises though). Perry | www.perryge.com

I'm probably gonna pass on the 200, just because it's f4, making it a pain in the butt to MF with my Ee-S focusing screen. I'm exciting for the 105 2.5 and I really hope I can snag this Kiron 28 f/2, I've heard good things about it and it's hard to find good wide angle primes. Not sure about the 35 f/2, not all that excited about it, but there's also a super cheap Pentacon 50 1.8 (M42) I'm eyeing, but I have no idea how good that one's gonna be. I love MF lenses. They're so friggin' cheap and let me try out a whole bunch of fastish glass at various focal lengths, and they're really fun. Me too. I just today got my mf nikon 50 1.2. I can't believe what kind of shots you can get for the price. .. It's Permie's world, we just live in it! ~CDS

I've tried the 50 1.2, or maybe it was the 55 1.2, but either way it was a lovely, lovely lens. gasrocks uses the Kiron 24 f/2, they seem to have quite a good rep, but there are so many options out there. Have you ever owned a 35L Permie? If so, how do you like the Nikkor compared to it, optically? I never owned it. I used one once but was not impressed enough to buy it. I found it pretty soft wide open. Could have been that copy though. (the nikkor is sharp wide open...amazingly so) I just wasn't impressed with the L and was surprised because it's supposed to be one of the "holy trinity". But it wasn't for me. The canon is AF though and that was nice, because the nikon isn't. It's hard to compare the color renditions because I used them on different systems. The good thing about the nikon is that it's a fraction of the price of the canon lens (used...I got mine, the ais version for $300). .. It's Permie's world, we just live in it! ~CDS
