I took a few pics of my diamonds..and I just had my 2 carat diamond reset into a new setting. I want to take pics of it, and I'm looking for ideas..to showcase the size of the stone. I seen many pics of rings in candy (hearts..M&M's etc). Are there any other suggestions to create a unique looking pic, that will use small objects to show the size(comparison) of the diamond, next to it? Thanks

Thanks. I took a quick one of my new re-set in a pile of Cadbury mini eggs. I turned it to a B&W..but think I should have left it colored. I am trying to think of other props to use.

Sorry..but as an amateur photographer, I thought I'd try it, and was happy with the results. My friends thought it was cool (they know nothing about photography..lol)

I've seen a really cool shot with Hershey's Kisses, the ring(s) over the top. Sorry, I don't have an example.

Thanks Scott..I was thinking of that yesterday and almost purchased a bag! I did take one shot using candy corn..lol
Well..here's a pretty standard pic of the ring with a band..but I liked how it turned out.

Here are a couple that I took recently at a wedding in Mexico. Not really exactly what you asked, as far as making the stone look bigger, but unique anyway. The first is actually an ashtray that the workers re-stamp every morning, probably thousands of times across the resort. The second, I couldn't resist getting the Grooms ring with some Cuban cigars. The shop lady probably didn't like what I was doing, but I did ask. I looked around and took as many opportunities as I could find that were different.
